Trunk A Treat

Our church held it's annual Trunk a Treat tonight and it was a success. Some of the cars were just awesome. Keri, Holly and Mary Kate had a Hannah Montana car, and dressed up as Hannah, Lily and the papparazzi. The kids didn't even want to get candy because they were having so much fun dancing. Kenzie was Hannah Montana, and Jordan was a ghost farmer or something like that. He actually wore a pair of Marty's overalls that he wears to work, and they fit! The night was full of fun and food, and there were so many people there, we ran out of food.. That has never happened at our little church before.

Praying for MckMama

One of the blogs that I follow, Mycharmingkids.net, needs our prayers today. They are having their 4th child this morning, and have requested prayer for Baby Stellan.. Please pray for them and check out her blog for more of their story.

Just Curious.....

Who do you think my kids look like???
I very seldom get a picture with the 4 of us in it.. Pat, my MIL, swears that Jordan looks just like Marty when he was his age.. My dad, Larry, always calls Mackenzie-- Shannon.. In the first pictures I cannot see any of Marty except around Mackenzie's mouth.. Jordan definatly has my cheeks...

In the second picture, I can see some of Marty in Jordan but not so much in Mackenzie.. However, I think Marty and I look more alike than my sister and I do.. Scary isnt it?

Random Rodeo Pictures

My mom and Mackenzie at the Rodeo this past summer

Jordan watcing the bull riding.

I work the concession stand every year at the Rodeo..It is a lot of work but it is also a lot of fun. Trust me this is the better picture that was taken of me.. The other has me leaning over the counter taking someones order, and I had my hands behind me. Of course the person that took the picture, took it from behind and it looked like I had my hands on my behind. Not a flattering picture at all..

School Pictures

Jordan's school picture turned out pretty good this year. I have been spoiled by the photographer at their preschool. He did such a wonderful job and then we get to public school and this is what we have to work with. However, Jordan has managed to take his pictures every year without having retakes.

Jordan 5th Grade

Mackenzie on the other hand, is having retakes done today. She has PE first thing in the morning, and the morning of this picture is was drizzling rain. I thought she would surely be inside because it was picture day and BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING!!! I let her wear rainbows to school that day, and she got in trouble at PE for not wearing her tennis shoes... Did I mention that it was raining? Anyway, she had to walk laps at PE which is why her hair looks like it does in this picture.. And she is wearing the same outfit today. She had to have her pictures remade last year because I made the mistake of buying her the cutest outfit with matching headband. She looked adorable when she left that morning.. Obviously she didn't think so because when I got the pictures back, the headband looked more like a sweatband going across her forehead. Needless to say...RETAKE. I hope the 2nd ones this year are better than these..

Mackenzie 2nd Grade (TAKE 1)

MEGA PARTY

Kenzie won 2.00 in the Hula Hoop contest

I wonder if Hula Hooping will ever be an olympic sport.. She practices all the time.

Mackenzie with her friend McKenzie (McKenzie told me she is the MC McKenzie)

Can you tell Kenzie didn't know I was coming?
Jordan with his "girlfriend" Cassie. He has liked this little girl since 2nd grade.

Jordan with his friend Matt Lynch. I just love these boys to death.. They are so funny!

Jordan was enjoying his snowcone.. I don't know how many he had, but I think Kenzie had like 8 when I stopped counting.

When I was in school, of course we had fundraisers. You know the kind, you sell a bunch of overpriced stuff so that you can get the coolest prize. At that time, the coolest prize might have been an ATARI, I think. Anyway, now you get the same stuff to sell, and you get the same dollar store prizes, but you are inticed these days with more rewards. My kids sold wrapping paper and stuff so they could attend the MEGA PARTY!!! This includes several inflatables and games, not to mention a whole 2 hours out of class. We did not sell, or should I say buy, enough for them to go to lunch in a Hummer limo. Anyway, they were happy with the party.

Dance 2008

These were Mackenzie's dance pictures from this past recital. She took Tap, Jazz and Ballet at Brenda Cranford's School of Dance. She has been a student there since she was 2 years old. Mackenzie did a beautiful job in all three dances. We were all so proud of her!

More Cotton

The cotton around here was even more beautiful this week. It hasn't rained in over a week here which is good for the cotton. The longer it sits in full sun, the fluffier it gets. I took the kids back to the cotton field at the Chapman's on Sunday.
